The Neko-Sanctuary Chronicle 2017 August --Don’t forget us!

At the end of this summer, Shimajiro, a cat of the Neko-Sanctuary at the back gate of the primary school has gone left Tommy, Kai, and Sansyo.

How many cats were there! But now a few.

At the end of summer,  the flowers of crape myrtle have passed the prime, and the pomegranate fruits started to color.

Those are messages from the cats used to be here? Don’t forget us!!

The Neko-Sanctuary Chronicle 2017 July Henrietta left alone

Botchan and Miiko have gone in June, Henrietta is left alone at the bike parking lot.

While she showed up at the feeding time, just saying something, sometimes did not eat food.
At the end of July temperature has been decreasing, she got back her appetite.

The photo below is Henrietta with Shiro, at February 2015

The Neko-Sanctuary Chronicle 2017 June Sad month

June 2017 was the saddest month in these ten years.

Botchan and Miiko aren’t at the bike parking lot. Siam, the most popular cat, isn’t at the back gate of the elementary school.

Botchan, the last time I saw him was May 28. He had a skinny body with mouth trouble. He ate slowly.

The week started with 29, I received an email from M-san. She wrote Botchan couldn’t eat any food and not showed up at the feeding time. The last time M-san saw him, he took a very rough breath that could be seen from a distance.

It has been rainy season, but had few rains and very hot. He died of dehydration. I think.

Miiko, she had a tumor again. She just had a surgery to remove it in February.
She couldn’t eat any food for about 1 week.
the last time I saw her was June 22. She was sitting on the ground, and said goodbye to us.

And June 26, one of the neighbors found her in her garden, took her to the vet, but she died the next day.

Miiko used to have a owner. When she appeared at the Neko-Sanctuary, she was neutered and wore a collar. She always stayed at the bike parking lot, because she had been waiting her owner came back and took her home again, I think.

Siam, he died of dehydration too.
M-san and other cat lady rescued him and took him to the vet on Jun 11, but died June 12.

Siam  originally lived around one of cat ladies house 100 meters away from.
But he couldn’t get along with other cats, so he moved to the Neko-Sanctuary, the back gate of the elementary school.   He lived his last few years with Sambo, Tommy, and other cats happily.
We didn’t know how old he was. Vet said he was really old cat.

From July, I can’t see Botchan, Miiko, and Siam. I miss them very much.

The Neko-Sanctuary Chronicle 2017 May Siam has got close

Since Sambo died, Siam has got close to us cat-ladies.
When I poured milk into the plate for cats, Siam came to me closely.
One day, he attended the Tommy’s matatabi-party.

How did he taste the first matatabi?

Siam had wanted to join the party, but he couldn’t. Because he had been too afraid of humans.

Siam was so close to me!

The Neko-Sanctuary Chronicle 2017 April Sambo died

Suddenly Sambo died.

April 6th, Thursday, H-San found Sambo lay in her backyard. M-san and N-san took him to the vet, but he died the next morning at the vet.

Sambo was a beautiful black cat with green eyes. He was born in the Neco-Sanctuary of the back gate of the elementary school. It was September 2014 I saw him the first time. He had got neutered last year.

Sambo was brought up by Tommy and other cats, so not close to cat ladies. I had seen a little black ball running away when feeding cats.

Finally, he became a beautiful  black cat. His best friend is Tommy, his girl friends are Sansyo-sisters. And Siam wanted to get a friend with him.

The Neko-Sanctuary Chronicle 2017 March Shiro, where are you?

Shiro disappeared  from the Neko-Sanctuary.

It is November eighteenth in 2016 that  I saw him the last.
Sometimes he did not come to eat, but not such a long time.
Since he got neutered, he had been here to eat in the morning.

Where has he gone? He has got a his owner, he eagerly wants?
Or he found a new place to get food?

Anyway, I really wish he was safe.

The Neko-Sanctuary Chronicle 2017 A couple of crows

During this winter, I met a couple of crows every weekend.
They knew that I feed cats, and they wanted me to feed them.
So I have been giving them leftover of cats.

When they were crying loud voice, I asked them to be quiet,
And then they waited quietly.
Adding more, they did not appear when some persons or other crows there since they knew a lot of people dislike them.

Some thrush found that crows got food from me, and they came to.
Crows seemed disliking thrush, so they were waiting until thrush have gone.

How clever birds!

This weekend, The couple didn’t appear.
Did They find some other place to get food?
