The Neko-Sanctuary Chronicle 2015 August 5: Milk is popular among cats

Though it was so much hot, it was suddenly cool after the August 15th. As if summer was over.

By the way, this summer, milk was very popular among cats. I wonder because it was hot. Also it is  cool now, it seems to have been lasting yet.

Unchanged milk drinker all year round are Shiro and perhaps Siam, but ShimaJiro drank a lot of milk this summer. Little-Pepper also drank milk. Usually Daikoku-Maru and Tommy do not drink milk, but drank milk.

I wonder some cat voted an article that recommended milk on Facebook for cat. "Milk efficacy, disease prevention" or something.

The Neko-Sanctuary Chronicle 2015 August 4:Siam effect

Tommy lives in a house near the back gate of the primary school. There once lived an old female cat, Zabu, and Kiichiro, who was a Guardian cat of Tommy. Residents of the house told the other cat lady that they didn’t care cats lived in their garden. Since Zabu has been dead for long ago, and Kiichiro also died several years ago, Tommy lives there alone.

Today, I was sitting with Tommy on the side of the gate of the primary school, someone came out from the house, and called the cats. Tommy rushed there, leaving me. After a while, at the door of the house, Siam wiped the mouth by hand. It seemed he finished up the meal.

Siam has a gorgeous look compared to mixed cats. Adding that, his personality is calm, he is popular with passing people. Perhaps the residents of the house also like  Siam. Thanks to Siam, Tommy and other cats life have been improved.

However, Shimajiro was still drinking milk near me, and didn’t go there. He is probably not friends with the residents.

The Neko-Sanctuary Chronicle 2015 August 3: Henrietta shows her affection

Henrietta is a three-year-old, pretty, shy, female cat. She had a contraceptive surgery last spring.

She was the last cat to come to eat. She  was so shy that I couldn’t close to her, and sometimes failed in feeding her.

Since she had a mouse disease last winter, been feeling worse, and couldn’t eat food, she had been gradually thin. So I have given only her special pouched food. When feeding time, I tried to find her first, and gave her food. Then Henrietta appeared earlier  than any other cat.   

Last Saturday, Henrietta appeared first, and couldn’t wait for food, she touched her body to my leg. She has never done such a thing before!

I think she understood how special she was treated, and how being loved by me.

The Neko-Sanctuary Chronicle 2015 August 2: Aggressive mosquito

In the past few weeks the heat has been deadly, until yesterday, it was somewhat cool then. I was happy to be cool, but I was not the only delighted cat-lady. Also, mosquitos in the Neko-Sanctuary those are always tranquil, were awfully aggressive today. Even though I had a portable, electric mosquito machine, it didn’t work well—they bit me a lot.

On the way to the back gate of the primary school, I met Siam and one of the cats-ladies, who was on a walk with her dogs. Siam was on the garden side of the sidewalk. Since Siam had a serious injury to his flank, the other cat-lady has been giving Siam medicine every day. I did not see Siam for a while.

On my way back to the bike parking lot, I met Siam and Kai, a male cat, who noticed Siam, he began to make motions to start to hiss at Siam, to begin fighting with him. Siam was not willing to fight with Kai because of his injury. When I came up to them, Siam ran away.

The Neko-Sanctuary Chronicle 2015 August 1: Stubborn Henrietta

It has been furious heat from the middle of July. Cats have no appetite.

However, Henrietta only have eaten two roughly two pouches of cat food once from the week before last. However, it is only when my feeding, does not eat at all when M-san’s feeding. She has gone somewhere to show the ass.

Although my pouch is eatable, M-san’s seems, she convinced. M-san prepares exactly the same pouch. It is what is in trouble.
